there is a law of attraction. This law has been known to physics for more than
100 years, and it decrees that energies on similar wavelengths attract each
other. We make use of the law when we listen to the radio, watch television and
speak on our mobile phones, because these means of telecommunication make use
of the law of attraction for the transmission of electromagnetic waves. This
means that we make use of this natural law every day. But the law of attraction
also affects our personal lives through the magnetism that our thoughts hold.
Our thoughts are”something” even though we cannot see them – they are electromagnetic
waves that are measurable. When we think of something, we quite simply attract
what we are thinking about or wishing. So there is every reason to ”do some
weeding in your thought sphere” and only think positive and happy thoughts. Be
careful about what you think – because you attract it….

The magic of life really
dawns on you when you understand how the law of attraction works. Once you
consciously start to work with your thoughts, so that you focus on the aspects that
you want and desire, then you have taken a major step in the direction of
mastering your life. And there is not a shadow of a doubt that the law works.
The more you concentrate on positive thinking, the more positive things will
happen in your life. This is not just wishful thinking, but sheer physics. Negative
thoughts vibrate on a completely different wavelength than positive thoughts,
and with the vibration you send out, you attract wavelengths from the universe
that are a vibrational match to your own wavelength. Happy and positive thoughts
attract happy and positive vibrations from the universe, and negative and
pissed off thoughts plus worry and pessimism attract negative vibrations – and
those negative vibrations can induce illness and ill health.

In ”The Art of Attraction” the
physical laws behind the workings of the law of attraction are explained, and
you get a lot of advise about how to become a better attractor of what you
want. The book underlines the enormous power of thought, because we are what we
think. It is our thoughts that have determined where we live, who we are with,
what we do and also our relationship to our surroundings. And it is also our
thoughts that constitute the most important factor in our health, because with
thoughts of illness, pessimism and worry we attract negative vibrations and
consequently ill health. Today the power
of thoughts in connection with healing is becoming more and more recognized,
also within the field of traditional medicine, so there is every reason to
practise positive thinking. It can save your life...

The book also points out
that we are the ones who decide what we think. This is a very important point.
We decide which thoughts are being thought in our heads– nobody else does. If a
thought isn’t pleasing to us, we can just let it go and think about something
pleasing instead. We have the world’s best ”built in” measuring device to
determine if a thought is good and appropriate or bad and inappropriate: our
emotional guidance system. If a certain thought makes us feel bad, then the
emotional guidance system has passed verdict, and it means that we should
immediately throw that thought overboard and find another thought to focus on.
When we feel discomfort around a certain type of thought, be it illness, worry,
terrorism or politics, then there is every reason to ”change channels” and find
a thought that gives us positive feelings. We have millions of thoughts on
millions of wavelengths at our disposal, so why linger on the ones that make us
feel bad? The book gives lots of instructions about how to become good at
choosing your thoughts, and the better you get at choosing positive thoughts
the more happiness and joy will you attract. Because what you focus on and what
you attract and what manifests in your life is always a match – every time, no
exception.

Does it sound too simple? Then
read the book and try for yourself. It is guaranteed to work because the law of
attraction is the most powerful natural law of the universe. And you can make
it work for you!

It is now close to three decades since Raymond Moody’s groundbreaking book “Life After Life” was published, and during the years since its publication serious research into the phenomenon of the near-death experience (NDE) has taken place. The research has described the many aspects of the NDE and has established it as a real phenomenon, which can no longer be written off as hallucinations, hypoxia, an overdose of medication or the result of a stimulation of the temporal lobes. Furthermore the research has studied the many life-changing effects of the NDE, its effects on relationships and its potential for helping the dying through the gates of death. But we still do not have any clear idea of how to explain how we can be alive outside our physical body. And as long as we cannot define what survives in scientific terms it is difficult to silence the skeptics.

There is an old saying, which states, “When the pupil is ready, the teacher will appear”, and it seems that help in determining what is actually going on during a NDE has been offered to us from a quite unexpected quarter. I think that none of the NDE researchers had expected to receive a helping hand from a Danish mystic, but nevertheless the work of the Danish mystic Martinus (1890-1981) (1) offers a logical and scientific explanation to what survives and what happens during a NDE.

When we look at a living body and a corpse it is obvious that the physical ingredients in the two are identical. Both the living body and the corpse have skin, brain, heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, blood etc. When physically there is no difference between a living body and a corpse, then it becomes clear that whatever it is that makes the body come alive cannot be physical. This means that we should be looking for a non-physical “substance” to account for what constitutes the dissimilarity between a living body and a corpse. Does such a non-physical “substance” exist? Indeed it does, and we have known of its existence for more than a hundred years. We know that energy exists and that it is not something, which we can see or hold in our hand. But still we know that energy exists, because it is measurable and because we can be sure about its existence through its effects.

According to Martinus a living being has a double analysis. It is a physical being, but it is primarily an electrical being. Because it is first and foremost an electrical being it is also more than its physical body. Today there is probably nobody who will deny that the human body is surrounded by a field of energy. This field of energy is not restricted to the boundaries of the body, but it transgresses the body and surrounds it as what has become known as the aura. The aura consists of different energies, which organize themselves in a field around the body. Martinus denominates these energies as ray-formed matter. It is irrefutable that the energy field around a living being exists and as it is not “nothing”, but “something” which can both be photographed and measured it can be referred to as a type of matter. Energy is not “nothing” in spite of being both invisible and intangible, and as its existence is irrefutable, we may go as far as saying that it is a type of matter. It is a massless type of matter, but still it is matter because it is not “nothing”, but “something”, and this “something” is both useful, measurable and manipulable.

Martinus says that the states of matter (solid, liquid and gaseous) cannot be reduced to three, but that a fourth state of matter, the ray-formed state, consisting of energy, must be added to our list of states of matter. Furthermore Martinus says that the ray-formed state is the first and primary state, because all matter in the universe consists first and foremost of energy. This has been confirmed by Einstein in his famous equation: E=MC2. Energy equals matter times the square of C, C being the speed of light. The energy in any particle of matter is equal to its mass multiplied by the square of the velocity of light. What this equation tells us is that matter is nothing but a form of energy. The mass of a particle is actually energy. This means that physical matter is a result of a condensation of energy and that energy is what everything physical consists of at the end of the day. According to Martinus energy or ray-formed matter is the upper tier of matter, the “substance” of which everything else consists in its final analysis.

The aura or energy field surrounding the human body can be photographed using a technique, which is a refinement of the invention of the Russian scientist Semyon Kirlian.

 <shapetype coordsize="21600,21600" filled="f" id="_x0000_t75" o:preferrelative="t" o:spt="75" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" stroked="f"><stroke joinstyle="miter"></stroke><formulas><f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></f><f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></f><f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></f><f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></f><f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></f><f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></f><f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></f><f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></f><f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></f><f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></f><f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></f><f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></f></formulas><lock aspectratio="t" v:ext="edit"></lock></shapetype><shape id="_x0000_i1025" o:ole="" style="height: 225pt; width: 172.5pt;" type="#_x0000_t75"><imagedata o:title="" src="file:///C:\DOCUME~1\else\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image001.wmz"></imagedata></shape>Kirlian photo of aura

The energy field is an electrical reality, it is not non-existent and there is nothing mysterious or strange about it. It is there even though we cannot see it, but as it can be visualized through the above-mentioned technique, and as it is measurable it is futile to claim that it is not there. The human energy field consists of ray-formed matter and this type of matter has been classified according to its wavelength in what the science of physics has termed the electromagnetic spectrum. In the electromagnetic spectrum we find long and short radio waves, microwaves, infrared waves, ultraviolet waves, x-rays and gamma rays. The human energy field has been classified according to its wavelength as belonging to the infra-red section of the electromagnetic spectrum.

So far, so good. We have established that our body is surrounded by a field of energy, but what does that mean? What is it and what importance does it have? Actually its importance is huge. We have already seen that energy is the primary type of matter, but furthermore energy has an all-important characteristic: it contains information. This is pointed out by Martinus, and it can be confirmed by science through the work of for instance Jacques Benveniste and Karl Pribram, who both affirm the fundamental information-carrying characteristic of energy.

So our body is surrounded by a field of energy, which contains information. This can be substantiated by the following observations. We now know that our thoughts are measurable. When we place electrodes on the head we can measure thought activity. When a thought is measurable it is because it is of an electrical nature. If a thought were not of an electrical nature it would not be measurable with the instruments used. This means that a thought is an electrical impulse. An electrical impulse is a string of energy or ray-formed matter containing information. As the energy field is a conglomeration of strings of energy this means that the energy field surrounding the body is a conglomeration of thoughts. It is this field of thoughts that constitutes our consciousness. The energy field is identical to our consciousness.

This again means that our consciousness is not seated in the brain, but in the energy field. Energy has an almost infinite capacity for storage of information and it is in this “storage room” surrounding our body that our consciousness is seated. So our consciousness is distributed throughout the energy field that surrounds the body. This may seem controversial but it has been confirmed by various researchers such as Wilder Penfield, Karl Lashley and Karl Pribram whose research has shown that neither memories nor consciousness can be pinpointed to any specific position in the brain. Martinus says that the brain functions like a kind of receiver for the electrical impulses of the field. But the impulses or thoughts do not originate in the brain, the impulses only enter the physical body through specific entrance points in the brain cortex.

Energy contains information but at the same time it contains force. We all know that there is force in energy and it is this force that we make use of in all our electrical appliances. So the characteristic of energy is double: it contains information and it contains force. This means that a thought both carries information and force at the same time. According to Martinus the energy in our thoughts is the same as our life force. The energy field is a field of thoughts and thus it is the seat of our consciousness, but at the same time it constitutes our life force. The human energy field is both the seat of our consciousness and the seat of our life force.

In a body that is alive the energy field is in operation in and around the body. But energy is not something that we can hold in our hand and it does not originate in nor is it anchored in the physical body. We know that energy can exist independently of physical matter and indeed that a field of energy can exist without any type of anchoring in physical matter. This means that the human energy field can be in existence even when it is not hooked up to a physical body.

When we die the energy field does not cease to exist. At the moment of death the energy field is severed from the physical body, but the energy does not cease to exist in exactly the same way as the energy that lights up our lamp does not cease to exist when we turn off the lamp. The energy field, which gives both consciousness and life force to the body, does not originate in the body and it continues to exist even though the body dies. Indeed it is when the energy field is withdrawn from the body that death occurs. It is when the energy field is severed from the body that the flat line appears on the electrocardiograph indicating that there is no longer an electrical current present to make the body function.

But as the energy field contains not only consciousness with all the information that is relevant to the individual (its memories, personality traits, talents, dispositions and habits, fears and phobias, tastes and tendencies, level of morality, emotions, level of intelligence and sense of self) but furthermore the very force that makes the body come alive, it is logical that the field does not wane or collapse just because the body dies. The field is life force. We know from the first law of thermodynamics that energy cannot be created, nor destroyed, so we have no reason to suppose that the energy field will dissolve when the physical body dies. As the energy field contains our consciousness with all the information about the person we call “I”, and furthermore contains its life force, this “I” survives the death of the body. This means that the core of who we are is the energy field, it is our essential self, our “I”, and this “I” will feel just the same after the severance from the physical body and just as alive as when it was inside the body because the “I” consists of something that is not physical. This is, of course, just as the near-death experiences say.

The physical body is “only” an instrument for the self or “I” which it uses for its manifestation on the physical plane as long as this instrument is serviceable. When the instrument is no longer serviceable, the “I” will release itself from the body, but as the “I” consists of something, which is not physical, the “I” is beyond the reach of physical injury. If we define the energy field with the “I” in religious terms and say that it is identical to the soul we are standing on firm scientific ground when we say that the soul survives the death of the body, indeed we can confirm the eternal nature of the soul when we know that energy cannot be created nor destroyed.

The human energy field is an electrical reality and like all other electrical phenomena it vibrates on a specific wavelength, defined by its particular combination of energies. It is a well-known fact that like wavelengths attract each other. The consequence of the workings of this fundamental physical law (the law of attraction and repulsion) in relation to the human energy field is double. Firstly it means that we will, while we are still in the physical body, automatically be attracted to other individuals whose energy field vibrates on a wavelength similar to our own. We all know this and we feel that there are some people with whom we are on wavelength and others with whom we are not, but this has mostly been considered as nothing but a saying. However, this can be substantiated as a result of the law stating that like wavelengths attract each other. Secondly the wavelength on which our energy field or thought matter vibrates will be decisive the moment it is severed from the physical body, because due to the fact that like wavelengths attract each other, our energy field or “I” will automatically be attracted to a wavelength in “empty space” similar to its own.

We now know that “empty space” is not empty at all, but full of energy or ray-formed matter. This energy is the same as thought or consciousness matter and once our “I” is no longer anchored in the physical body it will automatically be attracted to a wavelength in “empty space” similar to its own. This automatic attraction or transfer of our energy field to a similar wavelength can very well be what the near-death experiencers feel as a rapid passing through a tunnel to a destination of light. And because there are many different wavelengths in “empty space” and as these consist of thought matter there are also many different destinations there. These destinations can be conceived of as “realms” of ray-formed matter, they are made up of the thought matter of all those individuals that are on the same wavelength and they will be experienced as an outer, visible reality by the being that no longer has a physical body. As there are many different wavelengths, there are both heavenly and not so heavenly (“hellish”) destinations and whether we go to one or the other is defined by the contents of our own thought matter. The kind, loving and altruistic being will be attracted to a different wavelength than the angry, hateful and egoistic being due to the law of attraction and repulsion.

It has been stated that the energy field is the same as our consciousness and that it is the seat of the soul, containing both life force and all the information about the individual we call “I”. According to Martinus this information has been accumulated over a whole series of former lives and he points out that neither who we are, what we are doing here and the shape of our fate can be understood in the perspective of a single life on earth. We are eternal beings on a never-ending journey through physical and spiritual realms. The core of our being, our individual “I” is the same from life to life, but for each life we live on the physical plane we add new talents and abilities, we refine our moral, we develop our intelligence and intuition, we gradually outlive our animal tendencies, but we are basically and fundamentally the same “I” from life to life. Reincarnation is an absolutely fundamental process and all life forms from atoms, molecules, cells, plants, animals and humans reincarnate.

This has, of course, huge implications for our understanding of the process of embryo genesis. The information present in the energy field of the “I” is absolutely essential to embryo genesis. The egg and the sperm cell cannot do the job of creating a new human being alone. The Human Genome Project has shown that the genes alone do not hold the key to understanding life. Not only is the gene pool of humans 99% identical to that of mice, but a gene is a recipe for a protein, and everything that we are cannot be explained on the basis of protein structures. There are non-gene regions of the genome, regulatory elements, which orchestrate cell differentiation and gene expression and these elements have not yet been explained. These regulatory elements are, according to Martinus, the huge accumulation of information embedded in the energy field of the being about to reincarnate. The field holds the plan for the creation of a new body and without this plan no new baby could come into existence.

Martinus explains that during the height of intercourse, the orgasm, the intercourse partners emanate a strong energy of a highly spiritual nature. This strong energy attracts the discarnate being that is “ripe” for reincarnation and due to the law of attraction and repulsion the discarnate being will be attracted to parents with an energy combination similar to its own. Once fertilization has taken place it is the information embedded in the energy field of the incoming soul that will be the decisive factor in the creation of the new baby. The sperm and the egg cell only initiate the process, but the information in the energy field of the being now about to reincarnate is essential to the process of cell differentiation, to gene selection and expression. The energy field constitutes the dynamic that orchestrates and regulates the process of creation and leads the single cell of the zygote to become a fully finished child consisting of 6000 billions cells.

The new baby will be created almost completely in favor of the discarnate being now in the process of reincarnation, and as the energy field holds all the talents and characteristics that the being has developed and refined in former lives, it is the energy field that delivers not only the characteristic personality traits of the “I”, but also the consciousness of the new baby. If things did not take place in this way, how can we explain the presence of a consciousness in a new baby, not to mention its specific personality and the talents that it does not share with its parents?

The importance of the information embedded in the energy field is not only expressed during the process of embryo genesis, but indeed all through life. We know that the average life span of a cell is approximately three months. We also know that 10.000.000 cells die in our body every second and are replaced by new. Recent research has pointed out that also our brain cells are renewed all through life. When our whole body is in a constant process of renewal this means that the body I have today and the body I had a year ago do not have a single cell in common. Not a single cell! But where then, is the constant of my being when all the physical matter of my body is continuously renewed? How can I still be the same person when the physical matter of which my body consists is constantly renewed? The answer is simple. The constant is not in the physical body, but in the energy field, which constitutes our consciousness, our life force and holds all the characteristics about the person we call “I”. When all the physical matter of our body is under a constant process of renewal it is obvious that we are more than our physical body.

The essence of who we are, our “I”, is not physical, but electrical and as this electrical core of who we are, our energy field, constitutes both consciousness and life force, we are fundamentally the same and equally alive whether we have physical body or not.

He was born in very humble circumstances and was trained as a dairyman. He had no formal education and had never studied anything when in March of 1921, at the age of thirty, he had a deep spiritual experience which enabled him to see beyond the physical plane. He was able to see the whole of the metaphysical, energy-based world that lies beyond the physical plane. He was hooked up to an immense, divine bank of data from which he could draw freely. With this insight he was able to present a complete, holistic world picture based on logic. In the course of his life he wrote more than 9000 pages in which he presented his world picture. His main work of 3000 pages is called “Livets Bog” (“The Book of Life”) and has 7 volumes. In addition to this he wrote “The Eternal World Picture” (5 volumes), 30 other titles plus a large number of articles. His complete work has been published with the general title “The Third Testament”, but it is not a basis for a new religion. Martinus’ work has been written for the intellectual person, who has outlived the ability to believe in the religions and it can be said to constitute a basis for a merger of science and spirituality. This new way was positive, logical, and uplifting. It embraced the idea of a creator, but it had nothing to do with the traditional religions. It meant that I no longer had to despair when I saw what was happening on the surface of the planet. I no longer belonged to the large group of people who fear that we are facing some kind of doom. I saw that there was a meaning despite floods, earthquakes, civil and political unrest, fighting, wars, terrorism, and unhappy fates. There was hope despite thawing poles, polluted air, climate change, population growth, and rising carbon dioxide levels.
In this book it is my aim to facilitate another way of looking at the world – a way that will point out that all is not lost, that we are not doomed, and that a bright light is shining at the end of the tunnel.
Let’s face it: not a whole lot of those we have put at the steering wheel of the planet have a clue about what is actually going on here. I mean, when we look at our scientists, our politicians, and our decision makers not a lot of them have a clue about where we are headed as a population inhabiting a small planet orbiting a small sun. So when we look to our leaders and ask them: “Where are we going? What is happening? What are we doing here? What is life all about? Is there a meaning in the madness?” Well, then we are barking up the wrong tree.
We are barking up the wrong tree because they don´t know. Most of them don´t really have a clue. We are simply asking the elm tree to give us pears.
This is when I ask: Why don’t we just ask somebody who knows?
You may now say that there is nobody who knows the answers to any of the big questions. To that I can only say: “Yes, there is!”
So I suggest that we take a look at what those who know about the state of the world and the meaning of it all have to say. In that we way will be asking the pear tree for pears, and that seems like a much better idea than asking the elm tree for them.
And who are those who know? Those who know are our spiritual masters, teachers of wisdom that can see beyond the obvious and have an insight into the deeper workings of the world. Through their eyes we see a world that is in no way lost or going down the drain. It is a world that is in the process of becoming a perfect place for a harmonious existence for all living beings. It is a world in which the suffering has meaning, where light and love shine through the darkness, where there is sharing, compassion, interconnectedness, and love.
I would like you to take a look at the world through the eyes of my spiritual master. My other books present full introductions to who he is, so here let it suffice to say that he is a modern mystic who lived in Denmark during the major part of the 20th century and that he died in 1981. His name is Martinus. He left a legacy of thousands of pages of spiritual wisdom. This spiritual wisdom has been designed to satisfy our present needs for answers. It is logical, meaningful, and it appeals to our intellect. It is not an object of faith, not something that we should believe in, but something that we should study. And to those who have studied it, it makes so much sense. It gives us logical answers to the big questions; it is uplifting, refreshing, and innovative. And he who has studied it will never want to look at the world in any other way ever again.
My own life can be divided into a before and after I “met” my spiritual master. Well, I didn’t actually meet him in person, but I became acquainted with his writings. Before I “met” him I was clueless, I lived a life devoid of meaning other than the struggle for survival, and I had no idea what I was doing here. But I did have one thing: curiosity. I wanted to know more. I wanted answers to the big questions: where are we coming from and where are we going, is there a meaning somewhere, is there a God?
And because I was asking, the answers came. When I was ready for the answers, my spiritual master appeared. And wow, did he appear. One day, after a long period of searching, a book about my master fell into my hands. The moment I grabbed that book, I intuitively knew that I had found my answers. It took me about a year to read through all the material written by Martinus, but when I had finished reading it all, the bricks inside my head had been permanently rearranged into a logical and beautiful edifice. Where before there were ruins, chaos, and clutter, now there was a palace of meaning, insight, and wisdom. I had found a way to look upon the world that made sense. Not only did it make sense, but it was stuffed with logic, beauty, and joy.
So why not join me on an excursion into this logical and beautiful world view? Please come with me and let us take a good look at ten great ways to understand the world.Elsehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13287583391316561575noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5661487490752937650.post-72765431783355476772011-07-06T07:56:00.001-07:002011-07-06T07:57:50.397-07:00What Is the Difference between Religion and Spiritual Science? What Is the Difference between Religion and Spiritual Science?

To most people you cannot separate religion from God, and this means that when you hear the word God, you think that we are now talking about religion. But when you think about it, it really should be possible to talk about God without getting any of the religions involved. That is indeed what Martinus, the Danish visionary points out. To him, God and religion are two vastly different things. The concept of God can be separated from the religions – it is a concept that stands above and beyond all manmade religions.
Martinus calls his work cosmology or spiritual science. It explains in a completely logical and convincing way how the cosmos is organized. And because there is organization, there is an intelligent thinking process behind the cosmos. As you cannot have intelligent thinking without a thinker. There logically has to be a creator – God. This all-transcending consciousness is responsible for the existence of everything. As Martinus explains this in a totally logical, intellectual and straightforward way, his work is not an object of faith. He does not want us to believe in his work, but to study it and analyze it with our intelligence. The work of Martinus appeals to our intelligence – it is not intended to appeal to our feelings. In contrast to this, most religions appeal mainly to our feelings. So, to put it shortly the difference between religion and spiritual science is that religion appeals to our feelings whereas spiritual science appeals to our intellects. Religion is faith-based whereas spiritual science is based on a logic that is acceptable to our intellects.
But why do we need spiritual science. Why are we not content with ”just” having religion?
In the long run religion cannot satisfy our intellects. Religion has not been ”designed” to appeal to our intellects – it is mainly meant to appeal to our feelings.
A religious belief is based in our ability to believe. When our ability to believe is strong, we do not need logical explanations in order to sustain our belief. We simply believe because something inside us tells us that what our religion tells us is right and true. We do not question the beliefs nor do we question what the religious authorities tell us. We believe because it feels right. This ability to believe is based on a strong presence of the energy of instinct in our mental set up. When we are believers the energy of instinct is predominant in our mentality.
Our ability to believe walks hand in hand with a strong belief in authorities. We do as we are told and it feels right. We do not doubt or question what the authorities say.
But as we live life after life our intelligence grows because we add more and more experiences to our ”life bank”. The challenges we are faced with in our everyday lives develop our intelligence and gradually the energy of intelligence increases in our mentality at the expense of the energy of instinct. As the energy of intelligence ”dethrones” the energy of instinct, we become less and less able to believe. Instinct loses ground and intelligence gains ground, and when our intelligence has overtaken our instinct in strength, then we are no longer believers. We simply cannot believe just because somebody tells us to. Our ability to believe is simply no longer strong enough to allow this to happen. In order to become convinced, we need explanations that nourish our intellect.
Together with the decrease of the energy of instinct comes a growing inability to believe in authorities. The person can then no longer just accept what some authority tells him – he becomes a kind of ”rebel” that cannot just conform. He now lives more and more by his own rules. With the predominance of the energy of intelligence both the road to faith and ”obedience” has been blocked.
Religion cannot nurture our intellects. It asks us to ”just” believe without offering logical, watertight explanations. Those who are still able to believe cannot understand how some people can be atheists without any access to faith, because to them it all seems so simple. They just believe and are happy with that. They don´t see the problem that those whose intellect has overtaken their instinct are faced with. It is not that the intellectuals don’t want to believe. They simply cannot. They no longer have “the tools” with which to believe.
Today we have reached a point in time when the percentage of the population that cannot believe is growing rapidly. The churches are getting emptier and emptier. A growing number of people have lost their ability to believe. They then become atheists and throw God overboard.
But that is really just a stage. Sooner or later they will look for a proper intellectual solution to the mystery of life. And when that happens the Martinus material is there to support them. When the pupil is ready, the teacher appears.
The shortest version of Martinus´ fascinating world picture is in my book ”Ten Great Ways to Understand the World – The Larger Perspective on the Leading Edge of Thought”.Elsehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13287583391316561575noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5661487490752937650.post-11623802811270751082011-05-07T06:33:00.000-07:002011-05-07T06:34:40.283-07:00New aspects of The Law of Attraction – the most important natural law in your life.

My book ”The Art of Attraction” – New Aspects of the Law of Attraction” is out now on Amazon.com / .co.uk and it explains in clear and logical terms how this fantastic natural law works. The book presents lots of good advice about how to make the law work for you, so that you can attract the things and circumstances in your life that you most want.

Fact box: It is irrefutable that there is a law of attraction. This law has been known to physics for more than 100 years, and it decrees that energies on similar wavelengths attract each other. We make use of the law when we listen to the radio, watch television and speak on our mobile phones, because these means of telecommunication make use of the law of attraction for the transmission of electromagnetic waves. This means that we make use of this natural law every day. But the law of attraction also affects our personal lives through the magnetism that our thoughts hold. Our thoughts are”something” even though we cannot see them – they are electromagnetic waves that are measurable. When we think of something, we quite simply attract what we are thinking about or wishing. So there is every reason to ”do some weeding in your thought sphere” and only think positive and happy thoughts. Be careful about what you think – because you attract it….

The magic of life really dawns on you when you understand how the law of attraction works. Once you consciously start to work with your thoughts, so that you focus on the aspects that you want and desire, then you have taken a major step in the direction of mastering your life. And there is not a shadow of a doubt that the law works. The more you concentrate on positive thinking, the more positive things will happen in your life. This is not just wishful thinking, but sheer physics. Negative thoughts vibrate on a completely different wavelength than positive thoughts, and with the vibration you send out, you attract wavelengths from the universe that are a vibrational match to your own wavelength. Happy and positive thoughts attract happy and positive vibrations from the universe, and negative and pissed off thoughts plus worry and pessimism attract negative vibrations – and those negative vibrations can induce illness and ill health.
In ”The Art of Attraction” the physical laws behind the workings of the law of attraction are explained, and you get a lot of advise about how to become a better attractor of what you want. The book underlines the enormous power of thought, because we are what we think. It is our thoughts that have determined where we live, who we are with, what we do and also our relationship to our surroundings. And it is also our thoughts that constitute the most important factor in our health, because with thoughts of illness, pessimism and worry we attract negative vibrations and consequently ill health. Today the power of thoughts in connection with healing is becoming more and more recognized, also within the field of traditional medicine, so there is every reason to practise positive thinking. It can save your life...
The book also points out that we are the ones who decide what we think. This is a very important point. We decide which thoughts are being thought in our heads– nobody else does. If a thought isn’t pleasing to us, we can just let it go and think about something pleasing instead. We have the world’s best ”built in” measuring device to determine if a thought is good and appropriate or bad and inappropriate: our emotional guidance system. If a certain thought makes us feel bad, then the emotional guidance system has passed verdict, and it means that we should immediately throw that thought overboard and find another thought to focus on. When we feel discomfort around a certain type of thought, be it illness, worry, terrorism or politics, then there is every reason to ”change channels” and find a thought that gives us positive feelings. We have millions of thoughts on millions of wavelengths at our disposal, so why linger on the ones that make us feel bad? The book gives lots of instructions about how to become good at choosing your thoughts, and the better you get at choosing positive thoughts the more happiness and joy will you attract. Because what you focus on and what you attract and what manifests in your life is always a match – every time, no exception.
Does it sound too simple? Then read the book and try for yourself. It is guaranteed to work because the law of attraction is the most powerful natural law of the universe. And you can make it work for you!

This is what the press wrote:”Else Byskov’s book is very easy to read and it has many good and diverse arguments that urge you to start improving your mix of thoughts. It is a book that reveals both humour and insight, so you become both happier and wiser by reading it.Elsehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13287583391316561575noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5661487490752937650.post-86075946046049430282011-03-12T04:40:00.000-08:002011-03-12T04:41:23.024-08:00Detox your thoughts - now!Detox your thoughts – now!

It is becoming more and more evident that our thoughts are an important factor in our health. This is no longer something that is only valid within the field of alternative health care – even at hospitals you are now told to think positively about your own healing in order to speed up your recovery. And it helps! There is no longer any doubt that positive thoughts and visualizations can enhance our health.
According to Martinus, the Danish visionary, our thoughts are not just important – they are THE most important factor in our health. Our thoughts have the power to kill us or to make us lead healthy lives.
Our thoughts are electromagnetic radiation and with this stream of energy we magnetize our body. When we magnetize our body with happy and positive thoughts this has a good effect on our general health. With happy thoughts we simply send “good vibes” into our body and this will enhance the immune system and make us stronger, fitter and more radiant.
When we magnetize our body with pessimistic thoughts, then this negative energy will also affect the body. But in this case the result will be fatigue, proneness to illnesses, pessimism and even depression. We simply undermine our health with negative thoughts.
What kind of thoughts should we avoid then? Well, these would be the most toxic thoughts: worry, envy, hatred, revenge, jealousy, greed, disdain, self-depreciation, self-hatred, irritation, anger, pessimism and unlove. We would do our health a favor if we could detox our thought sphere of those thoughts.
But how can we do that? Where is the delete button for our thoughts? Well – there is no delete button for thoughts, because even if we shout “NO” to a thought, it is still predominant “in there”. The only way to get rid of unwanted thoughts is to find a happy replacement thought and put that at the forefront of our thought sphere.
A replacement thought could be a vision of yourself in the most desirable position that you can think of: you have just won a million dollars, been crowned a beauty queen, won the Nobel prize, won the Tour de France, won an Oscar, won a trip around the world, published a bestseller, regained your health, run a marathon, climbed the Matterhorn, established a successful business etc. Make a replacement thought that reflects your highest desire and your deepest wishes, and have this though ready in your mind.
Now, when a pessimistic and depressing though crops up, then you send it packing to Siberia where it belongs with the happy replacement thought. Once you have practiced this for a few days, the toxic thoughts start getting tired of the game and eventually they pack in and stop cropping up. Your thoughts sphere will then be dominated by happy and positive thoughts – you have then simply performed a thought detox. And it won´t be long before you can see the effects: improved health, improved circumstances and improved finances. With happy thoughts you simply attract all the things you have ever dreamed about. The law of attraction sees to that, because: as you think you vibrate and as you vibrate you attract.
So why wait? Start your thought detox today.
You will then not only have helped yourself, but you will be a positive light in the world and your “good vibes” will spread out to others and help raise the energy level of the whole planet.

Want to know more? Then our consciousness is extinguished and that is it. Finito. They know better and they readily ridicule those who have a larger perspective and a different view than theirs.
However, as none of the above has ever been proved, those who adhere to these theories are pure believers. They believe in something that they cannot prove. They are not the levelheaded scientists that they claim to be.
Today many, many people are open to a new way of seeing the world. The evidence for the survival of conscience is growing every day and more and more results from serious research into past life recall and reincarnation is putting a new way of looking upon the world on the agenda.
Many people have trouble believing in reincarnation because they say that there is no comprehensive philosophy that explains the larger perspective comprising many lives on Earth. But that is not true. A complete comprehensive philosophy comprising both the physical and the spiritual levels of existence has been presented by the Danish 20th century visionary Martinus. My 4 books about Martinus’ fabulous, logical and beautiful world picture all explain why reincarnation is much more than just a belief. A new world picture is emerging and in time it will topple the old.
The future belongs to those who can see beyond the physical plane and who are open to a new way of seeing the world: a larger perspective full of logic, beauty and love. In order to be open for a new way of seeing the world our intuition has to have been awakened. If your intuitive ability is still asleep, you will be closed-minded.
Our intuitive ability is awakened on the strength of our experiences and sufferings in former lives. When we have learned humility and no longer think that we already know it all, then we become open for a new and much larger perspective on life, death and the mystery of both.
Those whose intuitive ability has been awakened are often not so “fancy people”. They don’t hold high positions, they are not professors or dons, they don’t flash jewelry around or drive fancy cars. They don’t want to show off or impress others with their money, intelligence or wit. They are humble people. They are “the last” – and they will be the first to see that there is more to life than just a single lifetime. They are the ones that are awakening.
The “first” are all those who think they already know it all. Those who adhere to the one-life theory are mainly supporters of a purely materialistic worldview, and they think that their predominantly atheist and godless way of seeing things is far superior and far more scientific than anything that has to do with a spiritual outlook on life. And yet the one-life theory has never been proved scientifically. It is, at best, only half a theory. It is an unproven claim that we only live one life. Nobody has ever been able to come up with hard-core scientific proof that our consciousness is extinguished at death.
When the one-life theory has never been proved it is nothing but a belief. So those who adhere to the one-life theory are the true believers, as they believe in something that has never been proved.
On the other hand there is a growing amount of evidence for the claim that our consciousness survives the death of the physical body and that reincarnation is much more than a belief. Serious research is taking place at universities in both Europe and the USA into phenomena that suggest that our consciousness survives the death of the body such as the near-death experience, children that remember past lives, regression therapy, after-death communication, death-bed visions and afterlife experiments. The evidence for the survival of consciousness is growing every day, whereas those who adhere to the one-life theory are still standing empty handed when it comes to proving their claim. Please see my website www.deathisanillusion.com or my book “The Undiscovered Country” for a more detailed presentation of the evidence for life after death.
The one-life theory is really based on a limited understanding of what matter is. The one-life theory walks hand in hand with the idea that only what can be seen and touched is real. This way of envisaging the world limits the scope of existence to that which is visible and palpable, and it is sometimes referred to as “the sticks and stones view” of the world. It excludes the possibility that invisible “stuff” can exist. This view is clearly going to be short-lived, because nobody who lives in the western world today can be ignorant of the fact that “matter” exists in the shape of invisible rays and waves. We make use of these invisible rays and waves every day when we receive television and radio, when we speak in our mobile phones and receive wireless Internet, so claiming that invisible “matter” does not exist is simply an expression of ignorance. It is an outdated view based on ignorance about electromagnetic radiation, and it is tantamount to claiming that the Earth is flat. It is totally out of touch with the reality we are all living in.
So what does the existence of electromagnetic radiation have to do with the one-life theory? What does it have to do with life after death and reincarnation? It has everything to do with it, because once we have realized that the world cannot be reduced to what we can see and touch, and once it becomes clear that “matter” can exist in forms that are both invisible and impalpable, then we have to expand our worldview. There is much more to the world than meets the eye, and the rays and waves of the electromagnetic spectrum do not only comprise radio, television, X rays and micro waves but a whole range of rays and waves that we do not yet know about. We are only using a fraction of the wavelengths and frequencies of the electromagnetic spectrum for our transmission purposes, but the rays and waves exist in inexhaustible numbers and a very important characteristic of the waves and rays is that they can carry information. Information is whirling all around us in the shape of the electromagnetic radiation that entertains us and helps us communicate with each other.
We have only just landed on the shores of the enormous continent that consists of electromagnetic radiation, and even though we have harvested a beneficial crop from the shores, we have not yet ventured inland into this huge realm. There is so much more to explore and we are only just beginning.
One thing that the existence of invisible “matter” means is that we have to be open to the idea that our physical body is not the only body that we have. It is actually so that we have a body consisting of electromagnetic radiation in addition to our physical body. This means that we have a solid, physical body that we can see and touch plus a much more ethereal body that is not visible. The ethereal body sits as an electromagnetic field around the physical body (all living beings have such an energy body), and as this electrical field is measurable, its existence cannot be refuted. We can simply measure that an electric field is in existence around our physical body. This field is sometimes referred to as our aura, and it is an electrical reality. Its existence is factual because we can measure that it is there.
It is this field that holds the key to an understanding of life after death. The field consists of electromagnetic radiation and it holds our consciousness. Our consciousness is not limited to the brain as has hitherto been believed, but it surrounds and penetrates the body as a field of energy. The energy field holds all the information about our “I”; it holds our thoughts and talents, our personality and mindset, our intelligence and morals, our whole self. All these aspects of who we are, are embedded in the electromagnetic rays and waves as information, and they are electrical in their nature. Our consciousness is an electrical reality and it holds both information and force. All types of electricity contain force. The force in our electrical field is identical to our life force. This means that the force of our consciousness is identical to our life force and it holds all the information about who we are. This information is not based in the genes, but it is a result of experiences that we have gathered over a whole number of lives. We cannot come to any conclusive understanding of who we are without taking our former lives into consideration, because everything that we are is a result of what we have done, learnt and experienced in former lives. All this information is accumulated in the field which holds an unlimited capacity for storage of information.
Our consciousness in the shape of our energy field or aura holds our life-force and “I”, and when the physical body is rendered useless through injury, illness or old age, the consciousness cum life-force pulls out of the now useless instrument – our physical body. But because the consciousness consists of a type of matter that is unaffected by all kinds of physical injury, it is just as intact as it was when it was still connected to a physical body. As the consciousness holds all information of the particular individual that I call me, I am still exactly the same as I was when I still had a physical body. There is no difference, and all those who have had a near-death experience confirm that they were exactly the same after they had left their physical body. This means that there is no death – what we see as death is just a change of focus on part of our consciousness. Our consciousness goes from being focused in our physical body to being focused in our energy field or spirit body. Death is an illusion and we are eternal being because the essential core of our being consists of something that is indestructible: energy.
We have to understand that we are so much more than mere physical bodies and when we realize that we have an energy body in addition to our physical body, and when we know that the world cannot be reduced to “the sticks and stones view”, then the sky is no longer the limit. There is much more to the world that what we can see and touch, and the exploration of the undiscovered continent of the rays and waves of the electromagnetic spectrum opens a whole new horizon that we are only just beginning to see.
The shortcomings of the one-life theory are many: it hasn’t been proved, it cannot explain the growing amount of evidence for post-mortem survival, it cannot explain where our talents and morals come from, it cannot explain our fates and why some people live happy lives whereas others live in misery, it cannot explain where we are coming from and where we are going, it cannot explain the mystery of life and it certainly cannot explain the meaning of it all. It will not do as an explanatory model for the future. In other words: it sucks.
What all this means for our worldview and our understanding of who we are and where we go when we pass over has been explored in my books “The Undiscovered Country”, “Death Is an Illusion” and “Ten Great Ways to Understand the World - The Larger Perspective on the Leading Edge of Thought” – all available on Amazon.Elsehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13287583391316561575noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5661487490752937650.post-20443637332949684282010-11-20T23:46:00.000-08:002010-11-20T23:49:03.248-08:00The Human Consciousness ProjectThe Human Consciousness Project

By Else Byskov, author

According to our spiritual masters death holds the greatest possible surprise to man: there is no death. This, however, is exceedingly difficult to accept by the modern, intellectual individual, who wants scientific proof for the claim. Consequently many people living in the western world today believe that we only live one life. They are convinced that our consciousness will simply cease to exist when we have drawn our last breath. Very few people believe that we will ever be able to come up with conclusive proof that our consciousness survives the death of the physical body. They think that this is just superstition or wishful thinking.
However, there is a growing body of evidence in the empirical world that does not fit with the one-life theory. Among this evidence the near-death experience is probably the best known, and this intriguing phenomenon has been the subject of scientific scrutiny for various decades now. To begin with those who had experienced being alive outside their body were met with disbelief and sometimes ridicule, but now they are finally being taken seriously. A large scale research project named “The Human Consciousness Project” has been established by the Nour Foundation, which is a public charitable and nongovernmental organization in special consultative status to the United Nations. The project involves leading scientists in the field of consciousness studies from the USA, Europe and Canada, and its aim is to come up with conclusive evidence that our consciousness can exist independently of the physical body.
This is a controversial idea, as the general view has been that our consciousness is just a by-product of electrochemical activity within the brain. This has been the accepted view, notwithstanding the lack of any scientific evidence or even a plausible biological explanation as to how the brain would lead to the development of mind and consciousness. Nevertheless, the generally accepted view is that consciousness is a by-product of brain activity. However, this view is now being questioned because it seems that consciousness can exist independently of the brain. Consciousness could be a self-sustained unit and this assumption is based on the observation that many near-death experiencers have been able to observe objects and goings-on in an out-of-body state. In spite of the fact that their body was declared clinically dead on the operating table, they were able to observe what was going on in the space surrounding the body. After resuscitation the near-death experiencer would for instance point out that she had observed a particular object on top of a cupboard in an adjacent room. Or she would know what her family members waiting in the corridor were wearing. When the medical staff went to check, they did indeed find the exact object in the described location or the precise garment worn by the family member. The patient had been able to see this while she was flat on her back with no vital signs.
Because we are now able to resuscitate people with cardiac arrest, there is a growing number of people who report lucid, well-structured thought processes while their body is clinically dead. It has been established that 10-12 % of all people who have been resuscitated following a cardiac arrest report that they were alive in a body of a much lighter and finer type of matter than their physical body. They found that the experience of being dead was exceedingly pleasant – so pleasant that they were very reluctant to return to the body.
It is the observation of particular objects placed above the range of normal vision that is key in the “Human Consciousness Project”. The idea is to place various objects in and around resuscitation rooms in places that are only visible from just below the ceiling. If the person with cardiac arrest is able to observe and describe the object, then this indicates that consciousness survives the death of the body and that it can exist independently of the physical organism. It will eventually mean that we will be taking the first steps towards scientifically proving that death is an illusion.
This is, of course, what our spiritual masters have been telling us all along, but as many modern people are more comfortable with the scientific approach, it seems that we are getting closer to the point where spirituality and science can finally link up and join hands.
The near-death experience is not the only type of evidence for the survival of consciousness. Other important fields of research are: children that remember past lives, after death communication, regression therapy, death bed visions and the afterlife experiments. The evidence for life after death is growing every day whereas there is no evidence for the one-life theory. Today we can say that those who claim that death is the end of life are the true believers. They believe in something that cannot be proved and that has no support in the empirical world. Nobody has ever been able to prove that our consciousness is extinguished at death. On the other hand the evidence pointing out that death is not the end grows on a daily basis.
The key to an understanding of how consciousness can survive the death of the body is to realize that it is not only physical matter that is real. Matter also exists in the shape of invisible rays and waves. These have been defined in the electromagnetic spectrum, and it is this type of matter that we make use of when we talk on our mobile phones, receive television, radio and wireless internet. As we make use of this type of matter every day it is pointless to claim that invisible matter does not exist. It is also in this type of ray-formed matter that our consciousness exists in the shape of an energy field that sits in and around the physical body. The field holds our “I” and all the characteristics of who we are, and we are just as alive and kicking without a physical body as we are with it. What we see as death is just a passing from one state of matter to another. When we die, our energy field pulls out of the body, but as our consciousness and self consists of energy, it goes on existing in exactly the same way as the electricity that lit up our lamp goes on existing after we have turned the lamp off. Energy cannot cease to exist. We are eternal beings because everything that makes us into the person we are sits in our consciousness in the shape of our energy field or aura. It is this entity that survives the death of the body. The physical body can be defined as an instrument for the consciousness forces of the “I”. Death is an illusion.

Else Byskov is the author of the following books on the survival of consciousness: “The Undiscovered Country. Is one life all we’re getting or is there life after death? The latest research results certainly suggest that life continues in some other form after death and that reincarnation is much more than a religious belief. This book presents data from the latest research into the question of the survival of consciousness and offers logical and rational arguments supporting the idea that there is nothing final about death.
When I had finished writing my first book “DEATH IS AN ILLUSION- A Logical Explanation Based on Martinus’ Worldview” (published in 2002), I had so much material left over that another book was called for. In “Death Is an Illusion” I present a general introduction to the work of the Danish spiritual intuitive Martinus and his fascinating world picture, and although the book explains why death is not the end, it does not specifically focus on the factual evidence for this claim. It is the evidence for post-mortem survival that is the focus in “The Undiscovered Country”. In connection with the writing of “Death Is an Illusion” I researched a large number of titles by contemporary scientists such as Kenneth Ring Ph.D., Ian Stevenson M.D, Brian Weiss M.D., Roger Woolger Ph.D., Elisabeth Kübler Ross M.D., Erlendur Haraldsson Ph.D., Peter Fenwick Ph.D., Gary E. Schwartz Ph.D., Pim van Lommel Ph.D., Joel L. Whitton M.D. Ph.D., Edith Fiore, M.D, and many more. All this research reveals evidence that death is not the end, and it constitutes the sources from which I draw in this book. The research also puts forward the idea that the death of the physical body does not mean the cessation of consciousness, and that indeed our core being, our “I”, is as alive and well without the physical body as with it. Our “I” simply does not die.
Not only does this book present the scientific evidence for the survival of consciousness, it also explores the very question of the nature of consciousness. When one delves into the question of what consciousness is, one will eventually come to the conclusion that consciousness is everywhere. Not only is death an illusion for the individual, but it also is for what we regard as dead matter. Life, not death, rules supreme. Life, not death, permeates the universe. We are, indeed, alive in a living, conscious universe.
The theoretical foundation for these claims rests on the logical explanations offered by the Danish spiritual intuitive and mystic Martinus. The empirical evidence for the survival of consciousness presented by the above mentioned scientists and the theory put forward by Martinus support and confirm each other perfectly, and taken together they present a very strong support for the idea that our consciousness, or soul if you like, survives the death of the physical body. However, this is not a religious book in any traditional sense, and I’m not trying to convert anybody to any type of belief system. All I want to do is to show the reader the sheer amount of evidence that supports the idea that our consciousness or “I” survives death. This evidence is not only highly interesting and encouraging, but also very comforting for those who may be afraid to die. Believe me, death is “just” a passage from one form of existence to another, and if we are to believe those who have actually died, the so-called near-death experiencers, being “dead” is something exceedingly pleasant, and something that we should look forward to with comfort and anticipation. You may think that I’m exaggerating, but I’m not – and this book will convince you that death is an illusion.
And also, of course, I want to present core ideas from Martinus’ cornucopia of spiritual treasures, because his fantastic work has been and still is the great passion of my life. My life changed focus completely when in 1995 I chanced upon his work. From having been an atheist for more than 30 years I became a person who could suddenly see something much grander than a dead universe ruled by chaos and chance. I cannot say that I became a believer, because I do not subscribe to any established religion, but I became able to see that there simply had to be a spiritual level of wisdom beyond the physical world. There had to be a universal intelligence somewhere that had made all this possible. Believing that everything had come into existence by mere chance, random selection and accidental mutations became to me an impossible idea. It became self-evident that creation cannot be done without intelligent planning, and because all the evidence for intelligent planning is out there, I had a strong urge to focus on it and make its existence obvious to more people. With its unwavering logic and extraordinary revelations Martinus’ work deserves a much more central role in today’s belief-system discussions, and this book will convince you that spirituality and science can link up, hold hands, and together constitute a much-needed basis for a revision of our traditional way of interpreting life, death and the mystery of both.
So, if you feel that there is more to the world than meets the eye, if you feel drawn to a perception of the world with a stronger focus on spirituality, if you feel there has to be more to life than just these few years on Earth, if you feel that you want to explore the question of the survival of consciousness and the non-existence of death, and if you want to become acquainted with the work of the great mystic Martinus, then you should read this book. And… please be prepared to accept the idea that life never ends. Death is not what it seems. It most certainly isn’t over when the fat lady sings.

“When a living being believes that he is identical to physical matter he is subject to the biggest illusion that exists” Martinus.Elsehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13287583391316561575noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5661487490752937650.post-14240898352849044912010-10-20T06:35:00.000-07:002010-10-20T06:39:20.286-07:00A Logical New World View in Ten Easy StepsA Logical, New World View in Ten Easy Steps

The book “Ten Great Ways to Understand the World – the Larger Perspective on the Leading Edge of Thought” by Else Byskov is out now on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. A Danish version is out on Saxo.com

Have you ever worried about the future of the world? Have you wondered where we are going and what it is all coming to? Have you been looking for logical answers to the big questions without finding them? Then look no further.”Ten Great Ways…” presents a new, appetizing, logical and positive way to understand the world.

The book introduces an alternative to the materialistic world view that is currently the one most people adhere to. This new way to understand the world argues that we are on our way towards a world where there will be no more war, terrorism, social unrest, unhappy fates and doomsday visions. This change will come about as a result of a constant refinement of our consciousness based on our reaping of experiences over many incarnations.

Today the one life theory, which the majority of people in the western world still adhere to, is being undermined by a growing body of evidence that death is not the end and that we have lived before and will live again. In tune with the emergence of this evidence (which is presented in the book) we will soon have to revise our old world view and include a spiritual level of existence in our way of envisaging the world. It is becoming increasingly clear that invisible, intangible matter exists in the shape of the rays and waves of the electromagnetic spectrum, and this simple fact tells us that the world does not end where visible and tangible matter ends. There is much more and we cannot come to any conclusive theory about the world as long as we do not take a spiritual level into account. With the realization of the existence of spirit comes a need to see the world in a new light and in a much larger perspective.

“Ten Great Ways…” presents 10 highly plausible, positive and holistic ways to understand the world, and these ways encompass the indispensible existence of an intelligent creator, the existence of spirit, the necessity of reincarnation, the secret to the creation of our fates, the importance of the law of attraction, the immortality of all living beings and the evidence supporting the idea that we are inhabiting a living planet in a living universe where we are all one.

If you want to see the bigger picture in a non-religious and convincing way then read the mind-blowing book “Ten Great Ways to Understand the World – the Larger Perspective on the Leading Edge of Thought” by Else Byskov.

See much more on the author’s website: www.deathisanillusion.comElsehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13287583391316561575noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5661487490752937650.post-8084462131463771952010-10-09T23:36:00.000-07:002010-10-09T23:37:42.553-07:00The Importance of ThoughtsOur Thoughts Are More Important to Our Health than Our Genes

By Else Byskov, author of ”Death Is an Illusion”, ”The Art of Attraction”, “Ten Great Ways to Understand the World”, “The Undiscovered Country”.

Author website: www.deathisanillusion.com

You very often hear people say that it is their genes that determine if they are well or ill. The notion that it is our genes that determine the state of our health is called genetic determinism, and for many years it has been the foundation of our understanding of the origin of illnesses. But now this way of viewing the origin of illnesses has been questioned, and the latest research suggests that the importance of genes has been vastly overestimated. It seems that we can ”turn the genes off and on” with the power of our thoughts. With our thoughts we can influence our health much more than we think.

For several decades medical science has led us to believe that our life and health are determined by our genes. We have the genes that our parents provided us with at conception, and thus our health has been predetermined. If our genes predetermine us for a certain illness, then it has been viewed as practically certain that we would get the same illness sooner or later. Indeed, this conviction has been so deep-rooted that healthy people have had healthy organs removed surgically because they had been told that they have a gene for e.g. breast cancer.
But now parts of medical science have changed its tune. The new tune is a showdown with genetic determinism: It is our thoughts that are the most important factor in our health. As thoughts are electromagnetic radiation and thus a form of energy, it is the inherent force in the thought that affects our physical health.
Thoughts are ”something”. They are not nothing, but fine electromagnetic waves on different wavelengths and frequencies. Thoughts can be measured as fine electrical currents. An electrical current holds force, and consequently it becomes clear that thoughts can affect the body through the force or magnetism that the electrical current of the thought holds. It means that the magnetism of thoughts can affect the tissues of the body.
Today medical science has realized that positive, happy and optimistic people get over illnesses much faster than negative and worried people. Positive and optimistic thoughts about one´s healing have a noticeable effect on the time of healing, for instance after a major operation. Positive thoughts heal.
This is a change of tune which clearly undermines the genetic determinism which still predominates how 95 % of the population view the rise of illnesses.
It was also the genetic determinism that was the philosophical foundation for the ”Human Genome Project”, in which the aim was to map the human genome. The philosophy behind the project was that a certain gene would produce a certain physical expression such as blue or brown eyes. At the start of the project it was believed that around 100.000 genes would be found, as it was supposed to be the necessary number to account for the many characteristics humans have. Based on this expectation it was a great surprise when ”only” app. 25.000 genes were found in the human genome.
The human genome has exactly the same amount of genes as that of the mouse. This means that a human and a mouse have the same amount of genes at their disposal. This was quite problematic for the scientists, because now the philosophical basis of the genome project collapsed. That was not how things worked!! There were other factors that determined the functioning of the genes, but what were they? For many years there was silence from the genome project. There is still silence from that front, but now other scientists have entered the scene and are giving the genetic determinism its deathblow. Two books should be mentioned: Bruce Lipton, Ph.D.:”The Biology of Belief” (Hay House 2005) and David Hamilton, Ph.D.:”How your mind can heal your body” (Hay House 2008).
They are an uplifting read, because now parts of the scientific community confirm that our thoughts have precedence over our genes. The genes are not as important as it has hitherto been believed. The thoughts are more important and they can overrule the importance of genes. Actually a gene is ”just” an option, a possible outcome, and whether this option will be manifested depends on other external factors. The genes can be seen as ”lamps” that can be turned on or off. And who turns them on or off? We do. And where is the switch? It is in our thoughts.
Simply put, we can say that we turn off undesired genes by being happy and thinking positive thoughts, and we turn them on by focusing on worry, anger, fear, dissatisfaction and illness. If we have been born with a gene that predisposes us for e.g. breast cancer, then it is not a good idea to focus on this illness and think ”now I´ll get it”. If you are convinced that you will get, then you will get it, because your focused attention to it will activate the gene. It is a much better idea not to focus on any type of illness and see yourself completely healthy and well, totally free from illnesses and 100 % fit. Happy and healthy thoughts may well prove to be the foundation for the optimal functioning of our body.
Bruce Lipton is a cell biologist, and it was his research into the reactions of cells that made him reject the linear way of thinking that for centuries has characterized biology as a science. Conventional biologists are reductionists in the sense that they think that we can understand the functioning of the body by studying a single cell and looking at its chemical building blocks. They think that the biochemical reactions arise as on a conveyer belt, where one chemical gives a certain reaction, which is followed by a new reaction further along the belt, which then gives rise to a new reaction further along etc. This reductionist model has given rise to the belief that if there was a problem somewhere on the conveyer belt, then all one had to do was to replace the defect element with one that worked, and then the belt could roll again. Even though the science of physics has long ago rejected the linear model, based on the teachings of Newton, and replaced it with a holistic quantum model, in which all elements interfere with each other in all directions, biology is still stuck in Newtonian reductionism.
The holistic quantum perspective points out that the universe is an integral unit of interacting energy fields, which influence each other in all directions in a network of interactions. The energy fields interact with each other in a crisscross pattern and not lineally. There is nothing lineal about the functioning of the universe. Quantum physics have long ago thrown the lineal model over board, but both biology and medical science seem to be lagging behind.
This is Lipton’s model:

The complex pattern of interaction between matter and energy made Lipton realize that the reductionist model did not stand a chance to give an accurate understanding of the treatment of illnesses. Within the linear way of thinking certain illnesses have been treated with certain types of medication with the belief that the medication would only have influence on the specific malfunction or the specific gene that was targeted with the treatment. But as the latest groundbreaking research into the mapping of the interactions of proteins confirms the presence of these complex patterns of interaction between the proteins, well, then it must be evident that we cannot only influence a single element or a single protein. This explains the many side effects that most types of medicine have. Because the lineal model isn´t valid, it is impossible only to influence something in only one place. The influence will spread like rings in the water to all other neighbouring proteins with unforeseen consequences as a result. The mutual interactions of proteins make it impossible to achieve a one-sided effect. The biological systems are quite simply multiplex in the sense that an abundance of information goes out in all directions from a single protein.
According to Lipton that is the reason that we can make do with so relatively few genes. The same signals can be used in different organs or tissues, where they can give rise to very different patterns of reaction. We may say that the ”message” in a certain signal depends on the context, in the sense that its meaning depends on which organ ”reads” it. In the liver the signal may mean one thing, and it may mean another thing in the brain. If, for instance, one is given a certain type of medicine to correct a malfunction in a signal of the heart, then logically this medicine will be taken by the blood all around the body. The heart medicine may use the same signals as e.g. the nervous system, but in the nervous system the signals have a different meaning, and then they may unintentionally affect other functions with undesired consequences.
Lipton is not at all impressed with the standstill of biology. It is now 75 years ago that the science of physics rejected the Newtonian model and replaced it with quantum mechanics as its philosophical foundation. It is quantum mechanics that is directly responsible for the development of television, computers, CAT scanners, laser, space rockets and cell phones, so there is every reason to throw the reductionist model over board as hopelessly outdated.
In the year 2000 an article in the scientific magazine Nature revealed that it is the laws of quantum physics and not those of Newton that control the reactions of molecules. This article is based on hundreds of studies that consistently have revealed that ”invisible forces” of the electromagnetic spectrum have a strong influence on each and every facet of biological regulation. In other words, it is energies that have an effect on the biological systems. Specific electromagnetic frequencies and patterns regulate DNA, RNA and protein syntheses, they change the shape and function of the proteins, and control the regulation of genes, the division of cells, morphogenesis, the secretion of hormones and the function and growth of nerves. And not only that. It has also been established that these electromagnetic signals are hundreds of times more efficient as carriers of information than the physical signals such as hormones.
And of course they are, because they are transmitted with the speed of light (all electromagnetic radiation moves at light speed), whereas a chemical moves at less than 1 cm. per second. This strongly indicates that electromagnetic signals have precedence over the chemical signals.
As thoughts are electromagnetic signals it is obvious that they influence the biological systems.
Lipton points out that genes do not control their own activity, but that it is the receptors of the cell membranes that control the switching on or off function of the genes. The various receptors of the cell membrane receive both chemical signals via the blood stream and electromagnetic signals from the surroundings. The electromagnetic signals originate from the thought function, and it is these signals which, together with the chemical signals, control the behaviour and function of the cell. Depending on the contents of the signal, the receptors of the membrane will send messages to the targeted parts of the DNA string and these will be activated. It is likely that it is the vibration of the signal that is decisive for its effectiveness of penetration, so that a high vibration gives the signal a stronger effect. As the vibration of positive and happy thoughts is high, it is both likely and probable that they can influence the biological systems in a positive way. In that way we can activate our genes ourselves with our thoughts. And consequently it has been rendered probable that we can create our health with our thoughts.
The healing potential of thoughts is confirmed in a big way in David Hamilton’s book ”How your mind can heal your body”. The book is full of wonderful examples of how thoughts and visualizations have led to healing. Hamilton writes in the introduction that we now have so many examples of how changed patterns of thought and positive visualizations can heal even serious illnesses that we can no longer just ignore these facts and wait for the established medical profession to accept what has now become evident: Thoughts heal. Hamilton writes that the healing potential is so huge that it would be a pity and a shame if we didn´t right here and now begin to think ourselves healthy. Because there are only advantages involved: It is easy, painless and free. And if we, at the same time, want to continue with the allopathic treatment, then positive visualizations can be an excellent supplement. But the most crucial aspect of the effectiveness of thought healing is that you yourself are completely convinced that it works. You cannot heal yourself with half-hearted thoughts. You need belief, hope and positive expectations.
It has been known for many years that healing can take place on the basis of thoughts through intense investigation into the placebo effect. This effect has now been so well studied that it is irrefutable. If a patient is given an ineffective chalk tablet and at the same time is told that it will make his headache go away, well, then this tablet will in many cases work just as well as a tablet with a pain killer. And if the tablet is administered by a doctor, who in the eyes of the patient is very clever and experienced, then it works better than if it has been administered by a young medical student. Lipton is convinced that 2/3 of all healing is due to the placebo effect and consequently on our own belief that we can be cured.
Hamilton mentions an investigation from The University of Keele (England) from 1981, which included 835 women. This investigation confirms the importance of the trust that the patient has to a specific type of medication. The investigation used two types of Aspirin tablets. One type carried a ”stamp” from a well known medical firm and another type had no stamp. Placebo tablets (chalk tablets with no active ingredients) were also administered and they had been marked in a similar way. The women were now divided into four groups, which would each be given one of the four types of tablets.
The result showed that the stamped tablets worked the best, and that was irrespective of whether they were the real Aspirins or the placebo tablets. The investigation also showed that the placebo tablets were almost as effective as the real Aspirins. The largest effect lay in the belief that the tablet worked, and if it came from a well known producer, who had designed the packaging well, shaped the tablet well, and made it look attractive, and even put his stamp on the tablet itself, then it worked better than the plain tablet without the wrapping. The more trust and confidence the patient had to the effectiveness of the tablet, the greater was the effect.
This also means that the doctor´s attitude to a specific type of medicine is of great importance. If the doctor is sceptical of the effectiveness of the medicine and lets the patient feel his scepticism, then it is only 30 – 40 % of the patients that are healed. If, on the other hand, the doctor shows great enthusiasm about the treatment, it can mean that 70 – 90 % of the patients can be healed. This aspect has to be an ethical challenge to the doctor who is to present the results of an examination to a patient and suggest a treatment.
Our thoughts not only affect our health via their electromagnetic influence on the DNA and RNA, they quite simply produce chemicals in the brain. And this process happens very quickly. In just a few minutes genes have been activated or deactivated by a specific type of thinking. The presence of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine can be traced after only a few minutes’ thought process.
If a person is irritable and dissatisfied, then neuropeptides are produced that signal this state of mind. And these peptides are circulated to all corners of the body with the blood. If the dissatisfied person has cut his finger, then it has been established that his healing process will be slower than it would in a happy and positive person. Both irritation and stress reduce the speed of the healing process, because the genes that are important to healing will be partly deactivated or not activated at all. This can be compared to the dimming function of a lamp. The more irritated and stressed we are, the more has the healing activity been ”dimmed”.
Hamilton’s book is full of examples of healing through visualization. Let us look at just one example. A woman by the name of Petula had been diagnosed with an inoperable breast cancer. She had been told that she only had a 15% chance of survival. The cancer had spread to the lymphatic system and to her neck. She had chemotherapy and radio therapy and the plan was that she would then be operated when the treatment had reduced the size of the cancer. While Petula was being treated she visualized a rabbit, which she called ”Pure health” , which jumped into her body and ate all the cancer cells. The cancer cells were the favourite food of the rabbit and it loved to eat them. The rabbit looked very healthy and it was happy with all the wonderful food it had. Its fur was shiny and radiant. When it had eaten its full, it jumped out of the body and ran into the wood where it defecated in a specific place. In that place a beautiful and healthy tree grew up. Everybody who saw the tree or sat underneath it felt great wellbeing and peace. It was a healing tree. Petula carried out this visualization 2- 3 times a day and every time she had treatment. When the chemotherapy treatment had been completed, the doctors were very surprised with the result. Her cancer had completely disappeared and no operation was necessary. Today, 10 years later, Petula is completely healed.
The two books mentioned here confirm that it is our thoughts that are the most important factor in our health. We are what we think. The genes play a much smaller role than we have hitherto believed. The genes are a potential that we can activate or inactivate with our thoughts.
What gives good health is: positive thoughts and an optimistic attitude to life, less dissatisfaction, less enmity, less moaning and groaning, less worrying and intrigues, more acceptance and tolerance towards others, more focusing on things and persons we like and are grateful for, a warm attitude towards others, and faith, hope, and love.Elsehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13287583391316561575noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5661487490752937650.post-38470637349928790602010-10-06T07:31:00.000-07:002010-10-06T07:37:11.955-07:00The Human Consciousness ProjectA large scale research project named “The Human Consciousness Project” has been established by the Nour Foundation, which is a public charitable and nongovernmental organization in special consultative status to the United Nations. There is simply no evidence to suppoert the generally held belief that we live only once and that all is over when we "die". On the other hand there is loads of evidence that support the idea that our consciousness lives on after the physical body stops functioning. We have the near-death experience, children that remember past lives, death-bed visions, after life communications, regression therapy and the afterlife experiments. All these fields of research support the idea that we are so much more than our physical body. And why would we live only once? There is simply no logic to that idea.
Let me hear why you think death is the end!Elsehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13287583391316561575noreply@blogger.com0
